How You Will Get In Shape Safely Before Summer

By Todd Philson

Bathing suit season isn't that far off so everyone is already starting to quit their holiday and winter eating habits so that they can get in shape before the weather gets too hot to hide their bodies under super heavy layers of clothing. So many people dive straight into working out all the time because they are desperate to lose weight and get into shape before anybody gets to see their body. Unfortunately, looking for ways to into shape too rapidly can actually be bad for your health. Most doctors agree that just jumping into a high stress workout routine on a regular basis isn't going to help you. So what should you do to get fit before bathing suit season arrives?

It is essential that you see your doctor before you do anything. Ask a medical professional for a total body work up and check up. This will allow you to see precisely what your starting place is before you start working out and trying to get in shape. Your doctor will help you figure out how much you should weigh and what your body mass index should be as well as letting you know if you have any particular health conditions that you need to remember when you start working to get in shape. Your physician can help you set up an excellent diet plan so that you can get your diet regime under control as well.

Start out gradual. Do not try and run too far too quickly too early. A good program for working your way into shape is Couch to 5K. This is a program that improves the distance and time you spend running until you're ready to take on a 5K run. Obviously it takes more than running to get in shape. It is additionally critical that you develop your strength and endurance training. If you don't have time for all of that, try to find a swimming version of Couch to 5K-this way you'll work your whole body and build all of your systems safely and over time.

You needs a support team. If you can find folks to try and do the work with you you will have a much greater possibility of losing weight and getting in shape when you have a support group even if you find your weight gain embarrassing. You can work with each other to consume good food and get regular exercise--these are the people who can check out weight loss gatherings with you, exercise with you and more. For those who are uncomfortable doing this with people they know "in real life" they can find emotional support on the net. There are lots of internet support groups set up for people who want to lose weight.

The simple truth is that it is likely to take time to reduce weight and get into shape. You'll be much better off if you can get started changing your eating and exercise habits sooner as opposed to later. The sooner you begin your efforts, the easier it's going to be to work on building your body slowly and over time. Try to remember that this is a situation when slow and steady really does win the race: your health and body will thank you for your efforts in bathing suit season.
