Look Young, Feel Better!

By Devon R. Monache

It has reached popular culture and is now known among the masses as the go to product for skin rejuvenation. Botox is simply the best and most popular cosmetic procedure in the world. Botox Cosmetic has for years retained the title as the most commonly performed "non-surgical" cosmetic procedure in the United States, based on its ease of use and consistently good cosmetic results. Botox is classed as a non-invasive procedure. With no recovery time required, and no freezing, Botox has very few obstacles attached to a procedure.

The Facts Contradict the Myths

Despite the wealth of available facts out there, there are still some stubborn myths that seem to stick to Botox and those who get the treatment. The popular media often portrays Botox, and those who seek it's treatment, in a poor light. There will always be people who take cosmetic procedures to the extreme. One should not look at the extreme examples to gauge the excellent results that Botox can achieve in the right circumstances. A well trained physician who is experienced in Botox injections will not produce the kind of extreme examples noted. There should be very no impact on the ability to produce natural facial expressions, when administered carefully by an experienced practitioner.

Lose those Frown Lines!

One of the key target areas for Botox is the treatment of the frown lines between the eyebrows. It's not surprising why people have picked this area as problem; eliminating those frown lines makes you look fresher and more relaxed.

When you inject the frown muscle with an adequate dose of Botox Cosmetic, it stops moving. So, in effect, the Botox makes the frown lines disappear. The frown muscle can no longer contract and thus can no longer wrinkle up the overlying skin.

Using Botox to eliminate frown lines is one of the most common non-surgical cosmetic procedure performed worldwide. It's been estimated that 11.8 million treatments have been performed for frown lines since approved by the FDA in 2002 for this specific area. With over 90% of people who get Botox indicating satisfaction, it's not surprising that Botox continues to grow in popularity, especially with the word spreading through social media.

It is not a complex treatment process for frown lines. Botox is injected directly into the muscles that cause the frown lines to occur. No anesthesia is required because the needle is very tiny, the discomfort is minimal, and the treatment itself usually takes less than 5 minutes to perform.

Botox is incredibly safe. The preparation used by clinics is safe and the Botox itself is manufactured under very stringent conditions. Botox is no longer reserved only for the rich and famous. Though it is widely known that your favourite actor or actress has probably received a treatment, the same can be said of your local teacher or soccer coach.
