Negative Effects Of Weight Loss Surgery In Mexico

One of the effective ways to lose weight is through a special surgery. This is a procedure meant for obese patients since the natural ways of loosing fats is not working as expected. Patients who undergo the weight loss surgery in Mexico are able to improve their physical and mental health as well as appearance. Laparoscopy is one of the major advancements in the medical field to help obese patients.

Some of the procedures that help in losing weight include gastric banding, bypass and gastric sleeve. The procedure reduces the size of your stomach which in turn you will only consume little food. Just like other surgical procedures, there are some negative effects associated to this procedure. Below are some of the major side effects of bariatric surgery.

Nausea, abdominal pain, and vomiting are a common effect associated with this process. In most cases, abdominal pain is caused by eating large chunks of food hurriedly and failure to chew the food enough. There are those patients who vomit after eating little for and feel nauseated.

Constipation and dehydration is another effect. Dehydration is caused by little consumption of water. After the surgical process, a patient is required to take a lot of liquids to keep the body hydrated. However, the water consumption should also be limited or else it could cause some issues to. Constipation is another issue brought about by lack of enough fluids in the body. Water is essential during digestion and excretion.

Allergic reactions to some food are also common. Some patients develop a bad attitude toward dairy foods such as milk and the byproducts. In addition, some patients may experience some difficulties digestion some foods such as cheese, rice, and pasta.

Another dangerous effect is the dumping syndrome. This is a situation where a patient fails to retain any food in the stomach. Immediately he or she eats something the food is pushed out. This problem occurs when a patient has undergone the gastric bypass procedure. Note that this is not life threatening but the conditions associated with it are dangerous. These conditions may include weakness leading to shaking, rabid heartbeats, stomach cramps, fainting, and sweating.

Malnutrition and malabsorption is another serious complication. This is a complication where by the body fails to take in nutrients during the digestion process. When this happens, the body will become malnutrition since it lacks the essential nutrients. For example, lack of calcium and iron could lead to anemia. Having a deficiency of any mineral in the body could lead to serious complications later in life.

In some rare case, this procedure may lead to a condition where the patient has very low levels of blood sugar. This is a dangerous condition since to affects the memory and other functions of the body. The patient may always seem to be confused and forget things very quickly.

The most serious effect is death. Death occurs particularly among the young and the old. However, weight loss surgery in Mexico is still popular since obese patients are able to reduce some pound.
